Writing:

While covering e-commerce, warehouse automation, and physical AI for Business Insider, I had the chance to tour Amazon’s robot manufacturing facilities in Massachusetts. I saw many of Amazon’s robots up-close, took my own photos, and reported on how AI is revolutionizing the design and manufacturing process.

I wrote many exclusive stories during my time at Business Insider. This one covered the launch of a new AI startup for the logistics industry, created by a former Deliverr cofounder and Shopify executive.

I enjoy telling stories about entrepreneurs. For one feature, I interviewed 10 founders and developers about why they enjoy building software for the Shopify ecosystem — and how that’s a competitive advantage for Shopify. I also interviewed dozens of former Shopify employees about the startups they founded since leaving the company.

Editing:

I set editorial strategy for Business Insider’s Retail section and edited all stories published by a team of five journalists writing about fast food, big-box stores, and e-commerce. I collaborated with writers on stories that would establish BI as an authority on retail, like this list of top executives in the industry.

I led a newsroom project about Gen Z. My work included facilitating reader surveys, setting the overall direction of the series, coordinating with photographers and graphic designers, and performing final edits on articles.
